If seats are available the summer school is also open for BSRT students and other students from Berlin who are at least advanced Master level. In order to make a booking you need to send an email to the coordination office. Booking will be possible from the 01 June 2010. Please do not send an e-mail before.

The BSRT Summer School on Innovative Approaches in Regenerative Therapies is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The financial support of the DAAD for 15 stipends is only available for international (non-German) students who live and study outside from Germany.

In order to promote women’s advancement in the material and engineering sciences the BSRT awards 3 extra travel grants to female students who live in Germany - but not in Berlin - and who are therefore not eligible for the DAAD funded travel grant.

The target group for the BSRT summer school are students with a Bachelor or Master degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, bioinformatics, engineering, physics, chemistry or medicine. Experienced medical staff who are looking for courses to do their continuing education (Mediziner-Fortbildung) are not the target gorup for this summer school.

We cannot wave the participation fee under any circumstances, because we need the participation fee to provide for food and and public transport tickets.

Application will be open from 01 February 2010 until the 15 Mai 2010.

It can take up to three weeks after the deadline of application on the 15 May 2010 to select the candidates for the summer school in August 2010.Participants who get chosen will be informed first. When we received the acceptance from all invited candidates we will send out the rejections. This can take another four weeks.
